You might need to do that even if the registry checked out OK. First try to operate the software and see if you still have problems. If everything is fixed, then you are like many others before you. If not, you need to proceed on down the page.
In Windows go to Control Panel and choose (XP)"Add or Remove Software" or choose (VISTA)"Programs and Features".
